needless to say, i can't seem to keep up with the old blog.  here's a little of what we've been up to:

 lounging

skylar LOVES to do "chubby cheeks" to sadie.
sadie doesn't know if she loves it...

LOOOVE the teeth, gap and all!

getting wild and crazy riding pumba at walmart.

the kid could swing ALL day.

stoked on her new piggy bank.

first, she wore her underwear like this, unphased, for hours.
second, where did she learn to pose like this?
(damn that matt...)
 goof.

 park picnic with cousins.

swimming, er, hot tubbing--since her lips were blue and teeth
were chattering in the pool.  scalded skin from the hot tub is much better...
 sigh.
gratefully this happened right as i pulled into the target parking lot.
i literally stripped her down, changed her, threw her clothes away, and headed
straight for the kids clothing section.
looks like we'll be going bra shopping sooner than i thought.

@ pcmc on the day of her tonsillectomy

there's something heart crushing about seeing something so small
in hospital clothes...
after coming out of anesthesia she was not happy.
but, she finally calmed down and fell asleep.

genet showed up to my house with a stick on mustache.
sadie liked it, too.

this picture was taken post-op day 3.  after she woke up at 1 a.m. and NEVER
went back to sleep.  EVER.  it's a good thing she's cute...
this is what an all nighter does to you...
crash and burn.

 "hiking" around sundance.
getting out of the house always feels so good when you
haven't left its confines for a few days.
something about tiny hands, painted nails, and throwing rocks.
so cute.

so, we've been keeping it real.
matt wrapped up the season at deer valley, went to moab for a boys biking trip, and has the week off to help with skylar before starting his summer job at timpanogos cave on monday.
skylar had her tonsils/adnoids out last monday and is in the recovery process.  she's not a girl who likes ice-cream or popsicles (crazy), so we're trying to keep her comfortable with other things.  so far it hasn't been as bad as i thought...but there's nothing worse than watching you kid be miserable and so out of sorts.  i'm anxious for the next few days to pass to get my girl back.
sadie is sadie.  super chill and up for anything.  she is seriously the mellowest kid around and always has a huge grin on her face.  we're working on getting her to crawl and move a bit more, but other than that she's happy and healthy.
jessi is good.  i don't like writing about myself in the third person.  i'm the same.  a mom.  a wife.  a lot of other things i shouldn't say on a family blog.

and that's it.
xoxo

I love the picture of Sadie in the swing! All scrunched up, what a cutie. Glad Skylar's tonsilectomy went well :)
