he's a sneaky one

good old God thought he'd pull a fast one on me and speed up my plans for baby number two. instead of this time next year, it's...now. all blasphemy aside, we're very excited, still shocked, and await the impending arrival--sometime next july.

NBA

Basketball is in full swing and the Jazz are in mid-season form. I love it. Side note, has anyone noticed AK's new haircut?

Not only am I a huge fan of his handsome new style, but it doesn't come as a surprise to me that the same year he decides to get a pumpkin pie haircut the Jazz start killing people. I think his defenders are too busy gazing into his eyes that they can't stop him.

On a completely unrelated topic, I am compiling my 2nd annual NBA ALL UGLY TEAM and I will post is some time later in the week. If you have been watching basketball and you see anyone that fits the bill, please let me know, I am open to suggestions.

halloween

so many celebrations.

first: work party. the girls i work with went ALL out decorating the office, so we trekked down to see it and score some candy and treats.

we started having a halloween party with friends four years ago. it's the one time during the year we bank on seeing all of our friends.

the reason i blog

i'm no dooce. not crafty. suck the ass at cooking. am no interior decorator/organizing/fashionista maven. i blog to brag. i have a cute kid. what can i say. she makes my life so much better than it was before. so, enjoy.

sunday. belly ache.

monday. bad belly ache.

tuesday. suspected stomach bug. forgot about belly ache. (this is when my appendix perforated, ahhhhhhh).

wednesday. BAD belly/pelvic ache.

thursday. pregnancy test. negative. ultra sound. suspect. emergency room. blood work. c-scan. appendicitis. perforated. surgery.

friday. hospital.

saturday. discharged from hospital.

yep. we bid my perforated appendix adieu thursday night at the park city medical center. the little bastard decided to jump ship early. loser. everything's good, though. so far, no infection and the pain goes down every day. luckily they were able to do it with the laser (laperoscopy sp?), so that helps make for a more speedy recovery.

other than that, i just can't lift anything over 8 pounds for the next two weeks. no problem. not like i have a kids or anything. jeesh. things are going to get creative around here.

so it's done. we're in. most of our stuff is unpacked, organized, hung up, etc. we still need to purchase a few more things, but other than that it feels like home...which is good.

and just to clarify:

i'm NOT pregnant. after the post of the upstairs, and my label of our spare bedroom as "future baby room," i've had several people call and ask if i was pregnant. no. no. NO. at some point in time, though, i will have a second child. when i do, it will live in the spare/computer room.

so two weeks before we moved my car got broken into and our camera (among other things) got stolen. we finally got a replacement and so here are some pictures of our new digs. not interesting to most--except our friends who live far, far away (you know who you are):
