80 miles to the treehouse museum in ogden. was it worth it? no comment. just kidding. it was just a LONG ass trek to go to a museum that would be great for kids a little older who like to learn more than they like to play. we thought it was a little museum, a lot tree house/play house. turns out the only play thing there was the stairs. the girls had a blast running around, though. there was a music room--big hit--and they got to milk a fake cow--another big hit.
the highlight of my mom's day was probably watching me, pregnant, fat, and tired, wrestle skylar at the restaurant. the girl would not sit still, would not eat her lunch, and kept standing on her booster seat to peek over at the booth behind us. i wanted to cry. or hide. or leave her there. the highlight of my day, as a pregnant, fat lady, was the ice cream stop on the way home. a true old school 'farr better' ice cream shop. loved it. my ass did too.
here are some pics from the day:
later that night, after we had decompressed a little, skylar decided she wanted to wear her new swimming soup (as she calls it) it the tub. who was i to argue?
and i guess that's it. matt had his last day at deer valley today. tear, tear. probably not. he has the next three weeks off before he starts fire fighting. you're all thinking, 'oh. fun. quality time at home before he's gone all summer.' when in reality he's planning to bike, sleep, bike, go to moab, bike, sleep, and bike. what a punk.
oh, and only 79 days left.
xoxo
